About these terms

These terms apply when you use this website or register for the Glasgow CEOs & Founders Meet & Greet (“the event”), hosted by the Stephen Akintayo Foundation (“we”, “us”). By registering, you agree to them.

Registration

  • Registration is free and required for entry.
  • Give accurate details. Each registration is for one named person and can’t be transferred without asking us first.
  • The event is designed for founders, CEOs and business owners. We may decline or cancel a registration if it doesn’t fit the event, or if the details provided are inaccurate.
  • Submitting the form doesn’t guarantee a seat. Your place is confirmed when you receive a confirmation from us.

Admission & seating

  • Seating is limited and is allocated in the order registrations are confirmed.
  • Bring your confirmation and be ready to give your name at the door. You may be asked for photo ID.
  • Arriving late may mean you miss parts of the programme, and we can’t guarantee entry once it has started.
  • The venue’s own rules and safety instructions apply while you are there.

If you can’t attend

Let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your seat to someone on the waitlist. As the event is free, there is no fee to refund.

Changes to the event

We may need to change the timings, programme, venue or speakers, or postpone or cancel the event, for reasons such as safety, venue availability or circumstances outside our control. If that happens, we will tell you using the contact details you gave us. Because the event is free, we are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you incur.

Conduct

This is a high-trust room. We ask everyone to:

  • Treat other guests, speakers, staff and venue teams with respect.
  • Build relationships rather than hard-sell. Aggressive pitching or soliciting isn’t welcome.
  • Respect other people’s privacy and their wishes about being photographed or recorded.

We may ask anyone who disrupts the event or behaves inappropriately to leave, and may decline their future registrations.

Photography

Photos may be taken at the event and used on our website and social media. If you would prefer not to be photographed, tell a member of the team on arrival. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle images.

Please don’t record audio or video of the keynote or Q&A without our permission.

Not financial advice

Talks, conversations and materials at the event share experience and general information about business, investment and wealth-building. They are not financial, investment, legal or tax advice and don’t take your personal circumstances into account. Investments can go down as well as up. Get independent professional advice before making financial decisions.

Connections made at the event are between you and the people you meet. We don’t vet, endorse or take responsibility for any deal, partnership or investment that results.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect losses or for loss of profit, business or opportunity arising from the event or this website. Please look after your personal belongings at the venue.

Using this website

The content, design, images and logos on this website belong to the Stephen Akintayo Foundation or are used with permission. Don’t copy or reuse them without our consent. Endorsement quotes are reproduced from the sources credited on the page.

We aim to keep event information accurate, but details may change. The confirmation email you receive is the most up-to-date source.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
